Quick Escape: La Union with the Barkada (+ My Sister!)

After a long week of adulting and a 15-hour shift, I jumped straight into a weekend getaway with my high school barkada and for an extra twist, my sister tagged along. Spontaneous? Yes. Slightly chaotic? Always. Destination: La Union... with a Side of Baguio We hit the road early, running on excitement, caffeine, and vibes. We were expecting a 5-hour drive, but we had an unexpected detour to Baguio. We then decided to have a quick  pasalubong  runs. Good thing there's no traffic, just a long stretch of highway and barkada banter. I was running on zero sleep  and  dealing with abdominal cramps (rude). A few hours later, we were back on the road with strawberries, fresh vegetables, and enough local treats for pasalubong. Arrival in La Union: Food First, Always We finally arrived at our Airbnb and did what all good road warriors do: eat. For lunch, we had  chicken feet adobo , and  chorizo de Cebu .
